Is T-rex worth it?
We are on the dining plan, but thinking about checking out T-rex, so paying OOP.
What do yall think?

thanks!

We went last summer and thought it was great. My boys were delighted by the atmosphere. We walked all around while we were waiting for our food and looked at EVERYTHING. We are going back there during our trip in August. In addition to the cool atmosphere, the food was good too. They are very generous portions. Some people say it's a little pricey, but I don't think so compared to most of the TS places. Plus it's so much fun it's like an attraction in and of itself.

My boys (5&3) thought it was too loud. I thought it would be awesome to take them, but they do not want to go back. The adult food was very good, but after sitting through 4 meteor showers I can think of other places - on the dining plan - we would all rather go. Probably just looking in would have been enough.

If you have kids who love dining with LOUD Dinosaurs, then yes, it is worth it. We go only for the atmosphere (DS6 loved anything and everything Dino). The food is waaaaay overpriced and it 'meh'. The portions are huge so you can definately share. If you go for the dining 'experience' you will like it..if you go for the 'food' you may be dissapointed.

We have an ADR here at 230 in the afternoon. After everything I have been reading, we might just order desserts. This way my 2 DSs can experience the atmosphere and still have our hearing left when we leave. You can look at http://allears.net/menu/menu_trex.htm this page and it might help you decide price wise if it is worth it.

If you have boys who like LOUD stuff- it'll be great. The food is barely edible, but my son loves it so much I just deal with it!!!

We've been a few times and the food has always been hot and fresh. We've also done the *big* dessert a couple of times and it's sooo good!

Just got back and we loved it! My 2 boys, 8 & 4, were thrilled. We made this a surprise and left MK to get there, they complained the whole way but thanked us after. They have a build-a dino just like build-a-bear and it is so cute. We enjoyed it. Call the restaurant direct and make a reservation. We did and were seated ahead of a very long line because of the reservation.
