Hey guys
We are going to Disney at the end of september for the second year in a row, last year we were at the world for the t-rex opening day so we didnt have a hope of getting a table then. My question is do we have to book before we go now or would we be able to go in on our first day and get a table for our 2 weeks there? any info would be much appreciated Getting really excited now...

We did a walk up just last weekend. The line outside appeared to be long, but was fast moving. We didn't wait more than fifteen minutes total.

Having said that, the wait wasn't worth it. Unless you are going there solely for the noise and animatronics, don't bother. We were taking a five year old who wanted to have lunch there. Even he was unimpressed with his food. Not to mention that once inside the low lighting and the noise made him uneasy.

If you do go, I hope you enjoy the experience more than we did.

1- If it is important, I'd book early.

2- While you might be just fine, see #1.

3- Ressies: 407-828-8739

If you want to make sure you get a table I'd make ressies before leaving. I hope you enjoy it. We found the food to be just okay.

We tried to make ressie and they don't take them...

They take ressies up to 6 months in advance. I would call and make them just to be sure you don't have a long wait. We went last week while we were at Disney. Loved it!! We bought a geode in the gift shop and broke it open. Of course DS chose the most expensive one but it was still only $27 with tax. If you decide to go... The cheese stick appy was good. And the ribs were just wonderful. They were yummy, not fatty and were so tender they fell off the bone. I highly recommend them.

I just called and made one for August 15th. The only time they had available for our party of 5 after 6pm was 7:45. A little later than I wanted, but oh well

I called WDW Dining to make ADRs for other places. When I said "That's it," the CM thought I said "T-Rex" and told me that they can now make ressies for T-Rex.

It was tempting...I'd love to go and think my DD-almost-5 would love it, but we have DxDP, and, if it's not part of the plan, we won't make it this trip.

Ditto the other poster who said the food was not good. Definitely only go if you think the atmosphere will be worth it. We were there in May and I wish we hadn't spent the money on it.

You have to call the T-Rex directly for reservations. I don't have my Disney Folder with me so I don't have it but the CM I tried to make them with to gave it to me.

This is not true. I made reservations on Memorial day, while making the rest of my ADR's for our upcoming trip. We have an 8:00 PM (the earliest available by the way) reservation for T-Rex on Sunday, August 23rd, which is the day we arrive at Disney. The reservation was made by the same CM who made the rest of our ADR's. There was no need to call any other number, I didn't call T-Rex directly, just called the normal reservations number 1-407-939-3463

I made reservations months ago for June 8th. I've read mixed reviews, nothing really terrible about the food, the portions are huge and it's expensive according to some. I think my son and his friends will enjoy it, it's something new and at least worth a try. Apparantly the French Onion Soup is yummy and that's one of DS favorites.

cinderkeli....I have one for July 31st 8pm, I made it thru the Disney Dining line....:confused3

Isnt this part of the Rainforest Cafe Group of Restaurants? I was not really fussy on Rainforest Cafe the last 2 yrs but dd wants to go to Trex for her BD. She wanted to go to Chef Mickey's for the 3rd time...but with the summer charge and having a 12yr old who doesnt eat, dont want to spend the money (we are on the QSDP) but still want to do a sit down for her bd. It may be expensive but it will work out cheaper for us than CM's.
