T-Rex worth it?

We also really enjoyed T-Rex this past summer with my almost 3 year old DS. He loved the Dinos and the dig site. The food was really good too and several adults in our party got some pretty yummy and unique cocktails. I will echo what a PP said about the wait though. Even with a reservation, we had a wait a pretty long time to get a table. That dig site was a life saver, but we were all pretty hungry by the time we got seated. We sat in the ice cave, which changes colors so that was cool and the lighting in there made for some pretty cool pictures. DS loved the dinos and was not scared by them or bothered by the noise. He can sometimes be easily overwhelmed, but he was pretty excited about eating with the dinosaurs.

I'm going with my 2yo, and it's just us the first night. I do have an AP so we can go anywhere, but I wondered about T-Rex because of the dinos. Anyone love/hate it? TIA

Love it and so do our boys! We've been there 3 times in the last four years and the boys were about 2 1/2 & 5 on their first visit. We prefer seating in the ice cave but you can see it from most areas within the restaurant. An ADR is a must or call the restaurant directly (407) 828-TREX for a reservation. If you like burgers and guacamole their Guac-asauraus Burger is amazing and they have a pretty good but huge portion of Chicken Fried Steak. Our boys also loved the Build-A-Bear Dino Shop.

We LOVE T-rex!! Our dd, at age 2, had a blast and still talks about it. I would recommend sitting by a fish tank and not in the ice cave. The fish tank kept her occupied while waiting on our food. I think sitting in the ice cave would be miserable, but our table was in good view of the cave so we got to see it in action. It really was a lot of fun and the food was good.
