Does anyone know if T-Rex is good at dealing with people with food allergies? We are going to WDW in December and would like to eat there. My children have food allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, eggs and sesame.

I can't specifically answer your questions, but can tell you that T-Rex is not a Disney owned or operated restaurant.
From past posts, there is usually less consistency in the non-Disney owned/operated restaurants.

My dd cant eat gluten and when we ate at trex they were very accomadating just like disney the chef came out and told us what he could for my dd !! We were impressed with what she recieved and when it came to dessert they kept a tiny bit of ice cream away from the rest so that she could have it without any worrys !!

Thanks for the responses. I hope my children will be able to eat there. They are really excited about the T-rex restaurant.

As much as the atmosphere is something I'd love to try with my family, I can't see them being any better than Rainforest Cafe (same company and model). RFC chefs typically will try to ensure the food will be safe, but they just won't have options that aren't clearly stated on the menus like the Disney owned restaurants. When we go to WDW, we're going to reaaly take advantage of the opportunity to eat things we normally can't in restaurants so we stick with the Disney owned places. We'll continue to skip T-Rex.

We ate there in July '09 (this summer) and they were as accommodating as the Disney restaurants. The chef came to the table and we discussed the options. The server was excellent - we were even able to have a nice dessert for him (not just plain ice cream) and they made it into one of their "volcano" looking things (a dry ice cup put in the middle so it looked like it was smoking). His dessert was cool just like the rest of us at the table and he was very happy.

I was pleased with everything about the restaurant and really surprised at how knowledgeable they were about food allergies. It gets an A+ from me.

My son has peanut, tree nut and shellfish allergies, btw.

Thank you. I am glad to hear you had a good experience with your son. Hopefully, we will have the same.
