I currently have a reservation for the Rain Forest Cafe in DTD. My question is should I keep that one or try and walk in at T-Rex. Which one is better and offers the better scenery? Decent food is all I'm asking for just looking for a place my kids would enjoy more. Thanks

I ate at T-Rex last month and the food seemed comparable to Rainforest in both type of food and price. I actually prefer Rainforest, but if you have a child that likes dinosaurs I'd say T-Rex. I was seated in the ice room (not sure if that is the name) and it literally just was a high room that had walls that were made of ice. There were other sections that I would have preferred that had more stuff to look at.

We ate at T-Rex a few days ago. I was surprised at how good the food was. I was expecting much less. The service was very good.

The atmosphere was fun & interesting, but there's some sort of "meteor shower" every 15 minutes or so, that actually scared the three kids we were with (ages 4, 3 and 3).

I haven't eaten at the Rain Forest in a few years, but based on what I can remember, they're very similar.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they are the *almost* the same restaurant with a different theme. Yes, I have eaten at both recently. I was very surprised when we went to T-Rex to see how similar the menu was. I even noticed some of the menu items at T-Rex were exactly the same things that used to be on the menu a few years ago at Rain Forest Café with a dinosaur/prehistoric name instead. I found that a bit disappointing. Don’t get me wrong—we enjoyed it; I was just hoping for a NEW restaurant.
