has anybody been to the t-rex restaurant ? how was it ? tell me your likes and dislikes . is it on the dining plan ?

Our family is a little less character meal obsessed now but we really enjoy the atmospheres at t-rex and rainforest. June was our first time at T-rex and my 10yo was wide-eyed in surprise. Food was good. Standard stuff you get at Ruby Tuesday's, Applebees, etc., but that's the kind of food my family appreciates the most. We don't need fancy schmanzy. Service was excellent. It's not on the dining plan.

I agree with Carmiedog, kids will love it and the food reminded me alot of the Rainforest Cafe. My only complaint, the afternoon we went it was very, very LOUD. We couldn't carry on a conversation across the table, it was too difficult to hear...

My family all went and loved it. Going next Thursday. You can book 180 days in advance. 1-407-828-8739

We visited in April and loved it! :goodvibes The theming, the service and the food were are very good. DD7 loved the Build-A-Dino, too. :cutie:

DH had a Gigantosaur burger (or something like that) and truthfully, that thing could have fed all 3 of us! We'll definately be back on our next trip to WDW. :)

My fiance and I went in May and loved it-- he got a chicken pot pie and I got a grilled shrimp skewer dish-- both were really good.

The atmosphere is super cool-- worth doing even if you have the DDP and have to pay out of pocket.

There's a reason for that, it's own by the same company that owns rainforest cafe (we asked.). Like Rainforest Cafe, it's loud. they have "meteor showers" every 20 mins or so.

Food is ok, typical TGI fridays fare.

we ate at TRex in June. I had requested the ice cave but unfortunatley there were no tables available, i would have liked eating in that room it changes colors. I thought it was very expensive 19.99 for fried shrimp but my DS11 loved the shrimp and the atmosphere so that was all that mattered to me.I think it is definately a place that you would want to try at least once for the atmosphere alone. I don't believe it's on the dining plan but you can charge the meal to your room if your staying on disney property.

We really enjoyed the food there is May, though we preferred the "atmosphere" in RFC! There are some pictures in my food review below!

Just as an FYI...I think all the restauarants at DTD are NOT owned by Disney and therefore not on the DDP.

I know that Tilman Fertitta (Landry's Restaurant Group) owns Landry's, T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe.
