T-Rex Restaurant or Narcoossee's our first night?

We have an ADR for 8:45 next Thursday at Narcoossee's to watch wishes. I thought this would be nice because our actualy package isnt starting until the following day (Fri) but now I am thinking of switching to T-Rex at DTD because our DS7 would LOVE this. I want the kids to have a great time. Which do you think we should do and why??? Thanks so much to all the fellow Disers!!!

We are starting our trip with T REX. The kiddos are so excited. I'm not sure they would be that into a grown up restaurant that first night. Mine would be too antsy, too ready to jump into the fun and action to sit politely at a nice restaurant. My kids are the super high energy variety, yours may be just fine.

***Here is my disclaimer*** I'm only familiar with T-Rex. Well, I only know of T-Rex. That being said, T-Rex has my vote! We plan to eat there our first night as well. We really won't have time to go into a park and after 9 hours of driving with three young kids we probably wouldn't have the mental capacity to handle it either. T-Rex sounds like a blast. From the sounds of it, it won't matter if the kids are loud and they would be well entertained. I'm quite excited about it.

Another vote for T-Rex the first night. The kids will be so excited - the atmosphere there will be much better for this. Save Narcoosee's for later in the trip when you really would enjoy a quieter meal.

You are comparing apples and oranges. Narcoosee's has far better food, and T-Rex has a much better atmosphere although no fireworks.

A better questions is would you rather spend your first night at the GF or walking around DTD? If your not staying at GF, and don't have a rental car, getting to Narcoosee's can be time consuming.
