Anything new regarding the rumor of the T-REX restaurant and when it will open at DTD?

I would like to know too! The pictures of the booths/seating in the works was amazing!

While waiting for someone on disboards to answer, I went to their {Landry's} website and asked them about the new restaurant. I received an answer from a sales manager at Landry's named Jennifer. She said that the restaurant was scheduled to open in 2008, but said that they did not have a date yet, and advised that I "watch the website" for further information.
We were there last month, {DTD} and did not see any signs of new construction anywhere...............Guess well all have to wait.

I haven't seen any signs of the new building, drove by that way about a week ago.

I really hope it is up and running by next summer my boys can't wait. They already love Rainforest!

I saw no signs of it last week. But we have one here in the midwest. It is awesome!! I posted pictures of it last summer on the restaurants board.

We were at Rainforest at DTD in June. So, I asked and I was told it was delayed until 2009!

I too would like to know when they plan on opening. I hope it's before August 2008...

I checked with a source at PI last night and he said that while groundbreaking is behind schedule, T-REX is still coming.

As everyone knows, it's going to be built in that traffic circle/drop-off area near McDonald's, adjacent the E parking lot. I believe they used to operate valet parking from that location.

Don't have an opening date for you. Before August, 2008 seems doubtful but that's just my opinion, not anything official.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear that thay still are planning on opening in 2008. I agree, August would put them on an agressive schedule, but I can still hope for it! :goodvibes

Since I was given a phone number at Landry's, I called Jennifer Currier, listed as a T-REX sales manager, and she said it was still scheduled to open next year, but had no further information. { some sales manager:confused3 } Guess well will have to wait till they start tearing up the parking lot.

I still say it's a crummy spot {across from McDonalds in the parking lot} I feel it should have been a little further down towards the Cirque de Soleil, where it's not so congested.

I agree it's a crummy spot but Disney Marketplace is more kid-oriented and there must have been no other locatoins on that side to build it.

Go to the Landry's restaurants website, and you can see the T-rex information there.

Thanks I did that before. That how I first heard it was coming to Disney. Just searched myself on these boards and found some awesome photos.

Thanks though.
