Ate at Rainforest CAfe Downtown Disney in February 2012, and at T-Rex just this week. Was on Deluxe dining in February and regular dining 3/5/2012. Actually do not recall seeing any "for 2" desserts on the menu at Rainforest. There were 2 large desserts, but I don't think either of them mentioned "for 2". The Rainforest Cafe had The Sparkling Volcano...and T-Rex had the Chocolate Extinction (which actually looked a lot like the Volcano, without the sparklers) There was the "for 2" donut dippers dessert at T-Rex that would have taken two of us to use our credits to order.
At both places, we were told we could not order those "table desserts" - Volcano or Extinction-because they required 4 credits (I was dining solo at Rainforest, and there were 3 in our party at T-Rex)
Now I know the allears menu and the wdwinfo menu both say "for 2 or more" on the description, but I believe the actual menu at the restaurant said "dessert for 4." And seriously, it is a huge dessert...the next table at Rainforest had the volcano, and it looked more like a dessert for 6-8. Could not imagine 2 people being able to make a dent in it, especially after an entree & beverage (both restaurants have huge portions on the entrees, by the way.) The desserts that are available to individuals are huge, also...got the chocolate cake with sauces at Rainforest, also topped with over-sized ice cream scoop...The ice cream alone with the sauce would have been a normal-sized dessert: and then the cake was a huge 4-layer slice, could have served 2 with it. At T-Rex, two of us got the ice-cream-sandwich cake...was about twice as much as what you'd usually call a dessert serving: stacked 4 layers high. So Son & I both agreed it would have been fine as 2 layers. Hubby got the key-lime pie. It was 1/4 of a pie, literally. So again, about twice as much as you'd normally serve for a dessert. You won't go hungry, guarantee you
