I checked online and there are NO reservations available for our DTD day (around 3 - 4ish). My son has just started a fascination with Dinosaurs which leaves me scrambling for a TREX ADR. Would I have any different luck calling directly rather then going through WDW Dining?

Call them directly, I did this and got the time we wanted..............

been reports from people on this board that were unable to get an ADR through Disney Dining but were able to get them by calling directly. When we went ressies were only available via the restaurant and I had no problem getting the exact time I wanted.

It's pretty common for the DTD restaurants to have their own reservations and to hold back some slots for themselves.

We called directly too and they take priority seating ressies up to 180 days out. ;) So I might not be able to make ressies for the rest of my stay but I know where we are eating after an 1800 mile drive.

Yup, we got ours via a direct call as well. We are a party of 8 and I got dinner at 6:00 the night before Thanksgiving. Also, the restaurant takes bookings up to 180 days in advance as well, so I was able to get ours before my 90-day booking window opened. When I booked my other ADRs at 90 days I checked T-Rex and there was nothing available.

Definitely give them a call!

thanks for the advice! I can't believe it - I called direct and said do you have anything between 3 - 5 and she said "sure, anytime you want!" I couldn't believe it. My 4 year old will be THRILLED!!!!:banana::banana:

pictures from our trip. They're dark but you can get a feel for what it's like on the inside.

Thanks for sharing! Oh it looks soooo awesome! I'm so glad I got a reservation! I read they had a build a dinosaur station

My son is saying "we're going to eat with Dinosaurs? BONK"

BONK is his new 'saying' :lmao:

have the build a dinosaur in the gift shop area along with clothes and other items. It's essentially a Build A Bear but with dinosaurs. They also have smaller pre-stuffed versions available. My son did a pterodactyl and bough the smaller version to keep him company.

Thanks for this information. My wife had been checking via the Disney online system daily for the past couple of weeks for a mid-September reservation, and also periodically calling Disney. Disney consistently showed that T-Rex had no availability for the entire evening we wanted. We called the restaurant directly this morning, and they had lots of time slots available. The lady who took our reservation said that it was for "priority seating", which she said means we get the next available table once we arrive, so there may be a short wait.

I called directly and was also able to get the exact time I wanted, we are so excited to try this place! I love the RFC atmosphere but thought the food was a bit bland so Im excited to hear the food is better at TRex even tho its owned by the same company. Portions look huge I believe I will share with my teen daughter!

Thank you for posting this. I called today and was able to get the exact time I wanted when all I could get was an off time with the online booking. Really appreciate the help.
