T-Rex in DTD

The salad you described sounded exactly like the Cobb Salad at The Brown Derby in DHS:rotfl: The lettuce was so finely shredded that I could hardly believe it! We're going To TRex in June and will expect your standard Rainforest, TGIFriday, etc. fare. it's the atmostphere baby, the atmosphere :cool1:

Thanks OP for asking this question. We'll be in WDW this May and are planning on heading there for dinner. Thanks for the reviews. :)

Does anyone know if T-Rex accepts RainForest Gift Cards? I have some points to cash in and I can get Rainforest Gift card not T-Rex but I want to use it at T-Rex when we go in Aug.

We have a reservation for 2 weeks from tomorrow. I'd actually prefer to go to Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express, but from experience, and with it being a Saturday night, I knew I'd need a reservation somewhere if it's busy at DTD!

Does anybody know if you can use your Rainforest Cafe Safari Club Card there?

Thanks

It's not. (We just ate there Sun. nite). They tell each family at the podium that they are NOT part of the Disney Dining Plan. (But if you are a DVC member, you can get 10% off each entree.)

Thanks for the tip about the DVC discount. We plan to eat there on our next trip, and i didn't realize that.

Some guy on dis-boards saved me... I owe him a big thanks.

He made a joke in his review about the poor couple sitting next to the triceratops that would ROAR! in his ear every few minutes.

Guess what table they tried to give me? :rotfl2:

I asked to be moved! Our next table was in the Fire Room and we could see the Ice Room too, so great view! But we were right in the middle of major traffic. (didn't want to move again so stuck with it) I'll take a few bumps in the head for a great view. But whats with the small table for 2, that can't fit more than 2 plates at once (next time I'm going to make ADR for 3 people)?

Love the place!:rotfl2: Its like eating in a dark ride :thumbsup2

Food was just average :scratchin

We went January 14th and they took our ADR but when we got there, they didn't have any ADR system working yet. I hope that got that fixed:coffee: We only stood in line for 20 minutes so not that bad. But its a huge restaurant that seats 978 people...so you have to expect a few start-up jitters

If you eat in the Ice Cave, all your food looks grey in color. Too much blue light if you like to look at your food :rotfl2:

This thread is worthless without photos :beach:

Wow! Thanks for the pics, that looks really cool! I guess it doesn't matter what the food tastes like, my boys will love that!!

We ate there in December. The atmosphere is great, but we were over the noise by the second meteor shower. The food was fair to good - definitely better than RFC. It was neat to go to one time, but we will not be in a hurry to go back.

BTW, I had the same salad and actually liked it. But then I expected a chopped salad.
