Looking online I was not able to get an ADR for trex. Called directly and was no problem but they did not really give us a reservation number only that it was under our last name. Should I be concerned that we will not have a reservation?

They're not owned by Disney, so I wouldn't think you have anything to worry about in terms of that.

We do this every time we go to WDW. I have their number stored in my phone because I don't even bother trying to book an ADR through Disney anymore. But to answer your question, no reason to worry. Your last name is your "confirmation number".
