Had lunch there today.
Very impressed with the animatronics and special effects. Has the same impact as the Rainforest Cafe did when that first opened but with the latest gadgetry.
The food is very good as well, some interesting combinations and plenty of choice. Prices are reasonable and there is a 10% Annual Pass discount (also DVC I think).
It is a huge restaurant which was largely empty today but it is January and it is cold!! The shop was full of the obvious souvenirs and the "build a dinosaur" section looked fun for children. Didn't notice any prices but there was a huge choice of extra clothes so it could work out a dear hobby!

Thanks for the report.
We have booked to go here in Feb so it's nice to know that it was a good choice.
Does there seem to be any good or bad areas to be seated in - or will we get the full effect regardless of where we are put??

Thanks for your report weere planning on dining here :)

Thank you for this info,i have a ressie booked for April :thumbsup2 .What yummy food did you have+would you say the childs meal is big enough to share between a 7+3 year old who both eat like sparrows?(i HATE wasting food+would like them to share a meal wherever possible).
Glad you had a nice time+hope your enjoying your holiday-i would also like to know if theres a 'good/nice' area to be seated in.I have read that the ice-room's lights can give you headaches+make your eyes feel sore :confused3 .x.

We were next to the Woolly Mammoths. The restrooms are at the back so you get the chance to wander through all of the sections if you want. There are several "photo op" places scattered around and even the sections without customers had all the figures working. From time to time there is a "meteor storm" which seems to impact the whole restaurant. The ice section looked a bit strange but may seem fantastic on a really hot day.
We didn't have any child meals (our youngest DD was with us but she is 20) but all three of us shared a dessert which is pieces of chocolate cake with ice cream. It was too much for us so we focused on finishing the ice cream and took the remains of the cake away in a box! I think that was about USD15 and arrived with a smoking centrepiece.

I keep forgetting we can get dining discounts as DVC members. I feel the need to make another phone call coming on. :)

Have just changed my booking David,we are now going on April 4th 12noon-lucky you getting a discount :snooty: :) .x.

I feel like the odd one out!

We ate there a couple of weeks ago and were pretty dispappointed with the whole place. It was really noisy and frenetic. Our meals were just ok, certainly not the best we had whilst we were there, and not worthy, in our opinions, of much praise.

It looks like it is fun, and hope to go there if we get to disney this year. I think my daughter would love it. Thanks for the lovely photos.

We have reservations there for February 19th....Nine of us...I'm sure the grandchildren will have a great time...and as the rest of us go....middle aged and senior citizens....Well....We HAVE to try it! :cool1:

Those pictures are fantastic! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the photo's.
I for one am really looking forward to our meal there in a couple of weeks time :thumbsup2 - thanks to all the positive reviews and pictures that have been appearing.
Loud noises, meteor showers and dinosaurs in the background. With all that going on in the I'm pretty sure our kids won't be concentrating too much about what the food is like (might be an ideal opportunity to slip some vegetables into their dinner :rotfl: )

Sooooo many people have said, and it's normally the first thing they say-how LOUD it is in there-i for one will be taking some paracetamol with me :thumbsup2 .I too am really excited-more than the girls-they are really excited about the build-a-dino part.
Kenny i don't know how old your children seem to be in your pics-are they interested in the build-a-dino?.As we have looked on the website+it looks great.x.
