Has anyone ever ate here, and how was the atmosphere? Looking at taking our child, and it looks good on the net.

My fiance and i have eaten here a few times. It's just like Rainforest Cafe, only with dinos. I think it's really cool. The bar has this huge "squid" ceiling and it's eye will move occasionally. The middle of the restaurant has this huge T-Rex room that looks like ice, and when the meteors hit the room changes color. We've only tried their burgers, but they are so yum!

We have eaten here twice. The atmosphere was really neat. Ask to sit in the ice cave, those are the best seats, in my opinion.

My son (8) LOVED this! My daughter was a bit scared the first time. She was 5. It can be kind of loud but definitely a very cool atmosphere. Food is pretty good too :thumbsup2

Just to show an opposing view;) - We have eaten there twice and I was going to suggest sitting anywhere but the ice cave! Walking through there just to go to the restroom made me a little loopy (an there were no adult beverages consumed for this particular story;))

Food is "meh" - some good stuff, some not so good stuff (don't get the fish sandwich:sad2:) - DH always has some chicken sandwich that he loves. The kids food is on par with your typical chain rest. - The food is waaaaay overpriced, but the portions are huge. The atmosphere is amazing for anyone who loves LOUD Dinos. They also have a large gift shop (shocking, I know). We are going back for our third visit in May - not for the food, but for our Dino loving son. :lovestruc Did I mention it is LOUD?

We took our 7 year old (he was 6 then) to TRex and he loved it! We sat in the ice cave and everytime there was a "meteor shower" he stopped eating just to watch and laugh. I'd definately recommend it!

We loved it. We took our 18th month twins and they loved it. this is a boneyard they can play in. It is a little expensive but thenthe atomshpere is worth the price.

We love T-Rex, but hate the ice cave room. Sat in there our first time and never again. It was so loud, you couldn't think! It was red at times, blue at times with the show going on. We love eating here, just not in the ice room. And if you are a DVC member, you get 10 % off when you show your card...yeah! We love the steak sandwich with waffle fries.

We went there once when our kids were 5 and 3. They both really enjoyed it. My husband had to bring my 3 year old around the restaurant at first because he was a little bit intimidated. He was fine after the walk through.

We really enjoyed the food, the portions were huge and it was a really good experience. We are going back to WDW in May, but have a grand gathering and couldn't get any ADRs so we are bummed.

We sat in the ice room which I thought would be really odd with the colors, but it didn't end up being that bad.

Although, I have heard since our trip about a lot of people who haven't enjoyed it.

Loved T-Rex, hated Rainforest Cafe. We thought the food was much better at T-Rex.

We've been to TRex twice, enjoyed it both times. It is loud at times so if you are looking for a quiet dinner it is not the place for you. It is similar to the Rainforest food quality wise. Loved the chicken sandwich. Really yummy!

I made an ADR for this coming trip simply because DD14 mentioned she really wanted to eat there everytime we walked past it on past trips. Though checking the prices really made me want to cry lol!

I personally prefer Rainforest..though the atmosphere is neat..and if ya have kids..its great, but me as an adult the meteor shower every 15 min got to be annoying!! The food was edible, but very pricey! If ya drink alcohol the cotton candy drink was awesome!!! Me and hubby got the big tier appetizer, drink, and 2 cokes was 50 bucks! :scared1:

We are planning to eat there on this trip. Where should be asked to be seated other than the ice cave?
