T-Rex build a dino question

If the Build a Dino in the T-Rex restaurant is a Build a Bear Workshop site, can you use Build a Bear Workshop certificates or gift cards there?? Has anyone used them there successfully?

I don't have an answer to you question, but I was wondering what the build a dino is? Is it just like build a bear only dinosarurs?

It is just like build a bear, except your only choices are dinos. That's why I wondered if you could use the certificates.... Sorry I don't have any pictures, but if you go onto the T-Rex website, there is a link there that takes you to the Build a Dino site. I guess they have several of them around the US.

I was there last December. We were able to use the Build A Bear gift cards. At that time, they could not process the points for the rewards card. I was told to bring it home to my local B-a-B and they would add it. I did that without any problem. I'm not sure about using certificates from the rewards card/emails. Hopefully someone with a more recent experience will jump in here - curious to know if they have worked out the bugs and can add the rewards points. Otherwise, it's another trip to B-a-B when I get home!

We were there last week and they couldn't take the Build-A-Bear Stuff Fur Stuff card for the reward points. They told me to call when I got home. When I called they told me to send a copy of my receipt in, so hopefully I will get the points.

I was told that they don't take the BAB coupons and I have noticed that most BAB coupons say not redeemable at Build-A-Dino. They did take a Landry's gift card.

It was a lot of fun, but VERY crowded when we were there.

Does anyone know a rough idea of how much these things are? What price do the dinos start at? I know the clothes can get pretty expensive the more crazy you get with them, if they are anything like build a bear. Thanks

Dino's range from 18-22, with clothes and shoes i think dd's was around $40

Yes, you may use a build-a-bear gift card. Most coupons for build-a-bear cannot be used there. They do not take the stuff fur stuff reward certificates that you receive in the mail, nor can they add points to your balance on your stuff fur stuff card. Stinks, I know... but what can you do? The dinos are adorable and you can't help but get sucked in. I believe the dinos can also be viewed on BAB's website.

My wife bought build a bear gift cards at Costco for less than face value. Took them to the T-Rex and they worked like a charm. While I did not feel like it was a great value, my wife was very proud of herself and both boys LOVED it.

The part I liked was making them make tough decisions on what to buy based on available gift card funds.
