T-Rex 90 Days?

On the Disney system it is 180 days like everything else. But they release only a small percentage of their tables for booking through Disney. Call them directly and you will get what you want.

I just booked last week and I was told they book 6 months in advance. I booked for November for a 7pm dinner and he said he was wide open that night for reservations. The WDW never has any availability so I would call T-Rex directly instead of using the WDW online reservation system.

T-Rex is very similar to Rainforest Cafe, it has been awhile since I have eaten at a RC but I am guessing the food is the same as they are owned by the same company and the menu is very similar. It is a really neat experience, especially when you have a Dinosaur lover with you.

I have a 3 year old boy who loves dinosaurs but who is also easily scared by loud noises (like fireworks). Is the T-Rex restaurant loud or possibly scary in your opinion? I don't want to take him there and have him terrified the whole time. Also, we won't be anywhere in the park when the fireworks begin :(.

Yes, it's loud. If he is afraid of loud noises, it may not be the place for him.

Question for you guys who are "in the know":

I just called this morning and got a reservation for December 28th :dance3: .

In my excitement, I realized they did not ask for my credit card to guarantee the ressie nor did they give me a confirmation number.

Is this normal, or should I call back?

It is loud and dark. We sat in the Ice bar area (whatever it is called) with my son when he was 2 going on 3 (this area is a little less loud and dark). At that time, he was afraid of the dark and loud noises (fireworks) BUT he liked dinosaurs and did okay in this area of the restaurant :confused3

If your son is pretty easily scared by things like fireworks, though, I would say there is a good chance that this will overwhelm him...there are meteor showers.

You could always visit T-Rex and walk through the gift shop and restaurant without actually eating there.

I recently made a reservation there for October. I asked for my confirmation # and he said they use your last name as the confirmation #.
