I am considering getting a new phone w/T-Moble and signing up for service. We currently use Verizon, and I don't have any real complaints. The reason I am considering switching is: T-Mobile has several new Disney phones that are so cute! Besides my old Disney phone is a bit outdated now (only dual mode so it does not work in Orlando), so it is time for a replacement. I did not want to give up the Disney on my phone though, so I was happy to find these :) But, I know nothing about T-Mobile. Thanks in advance!

If anyone is interested here is a link to the 2 phones I am waiting for the Mickey one to come out :) :

Kathy, I know nothing about T-mobile. I just wanted to hop on and say, "Hello, Stranger!" :)

I have T-Mobile, and love it. If you live in a metropolitan area and travel mostly in metropolitan areas, the coverage is great. It's not so great in the boonies (different type of signal than most cell phones. It runs on the same type of system as Cingular).

Our phones worked great in Orlando, and we've never had a service outage.

Hi! We have T Mobile and I have no complaints. We bought the national plan that way when we were in Orlando we could call home for free.
We only had problems with it in the mountains of WV, could not get service.

I love mine...no Disney phone, but it is very small and has games on it. The kids love to play the casino one!

Good luck! Cute Disney phones, wish I would have waited.

I typed in our zip code at their site, but no service up here from T-Mobile. Their coverage map looks pretty bare compared to other companies.

when it was still Voice Stream. I mainly bought it because it works where I mostly travel for business. It even works in the Northern tip of Idaho! However I have had a few difficulties in the resorts at WDW - but that was only sometimes.

We have T-Mobile and have no complaints. We've only had it for a few months, but we've had no problems at all. I also like that the phone is so small.

That Disney phone is pretty cool.

Glad to hear the phones worked good in Orlando. We plan on calling home from WDW Christmas morning. :)

I just got T-Mobile yesterday. The saleslady was really pushing it over AT&T. I got that phone in the link (Motorola T720i). Since I've only had it for 24 hours, I can't really comment on it, but everyone I've talked to said it's got good service. :)

Sorry, one dissenter here.

I got service 358 days ago (VoiceStream t the time). I have had a great deal of trouble getting service on Long Island. In the malls, in my parent's yard, outside our neighborhood MacDonalds, etc. I called and was told they couldn't guarantee service - I gave them about 10 addresses where I hadn't been able to get service, and was basically told too bad.

7 more days and I can change to Sprint.

Hope you have beter luck than me!

We have T-mobile and we've actually had better coverage than we did with Cingular, Sprint, and Verizon. I think you really have to look at what area you'll be in.

According to DH, T-mobile actually uses Cingular's system.

Thanks for all the replies! I am feeling more comfortable w/the idea of T-Mobile as their coverage here and where I travel looks pretty good! Now, I just have to wait for the Mickey phones to come out!

PS: Hi Gina! Hope all is well w/you and yours :)

I've had it for 2 years (voice stream originally) with no problems. I get good service in most areas here on LI.
