T-Day Cruisers 2011, November 19-26th, 2011

I feel like I am way behind in getting ready. The details get a little overwhelming! I almost started crying when someone said they had started to sort things out for packing.

Thanks for the recommendation of Bernard's Tours. I am looking into that one. The regatta sounds like a lot of fun, but my son is only 9.

So, the meet sounds really good. I though we had a tall family, but no one hits 6'7"! I do have a daughter that is 6' though.

Has the FE list been updated with the last few or should we just make a note from the forum about those?

Well my volleyball may be a bit limited this trip...note to self: do not wear cletes in parking lots any more....have to go back next week for more xrays to see if hand/wrist is just bad sprain or has small fracture once the swelling abates..and worse, it is the right hand...

and to those in panic mode, relax....you will likely pack twice as much as you actually need, and remember, this is a vacation and is supposed to be fun....and I was serious about an earlier post....we really do not pack anything until the night before we leave for the port...so just enjoy the experience.

Thanks again everyone with the designs and offers of help. :

Maddy is almost 9 years old and this will be her 5th Disney cruise. She is very excited about her first DisMeet though. She is excited to find out other girls names in advance. We are staying at the Residence Inn Friday night and looking forward to getting our door design prepped that night.

Last request: can someone post the dining schedule if it is finalized? Is formal night on Sunday? And semi-formal on Thursday?

Thanks again.

John

Like Chuck said....Pack what you think you need, then take 1/2 back out. Most of us are not truly packing, but I also have a suitcase open in my guestroom, where as I think of things (that I won't need between now and final packing) I just toss in the suitcase.

I've tossed sandals, capris, shirts (it's in the 30-40's here so I'm not wearing them) FE gifts, etc. Don't stress! (My DH will crack up when he sees me saying this, it is easier said then done:scared1:)

The FE list is updated. :thumbsup2 The last update to the FE list will be Thursday 11/17. Any changes after that will come via text or email, whichever way you asked me to notify you.

Hope all works out well.

Good Morning Cruisers...

Is anyone else staying at the Hyatt MCO the night before the cruise?

We are arriving on Friday evening and will take the DCL Transfers to the port.

John,

My 8 year old daughter is Becca she also can't wait to meet everyone. This is our first DISMeet as well. The boys are a little more reserved still - it may not really hit them until our names are announced as we walk onto the ship. My boys are Ethan (11) and Braeden (also 8).

OK, I have NO idea what I'm doing, so please forgive me! We're going on the Magic for Thanksgiving week, Nov.19-26, so it looks like I'm in the right place. We've had this booked for 8 months, but I'm just now getting around to reading the message boards. Will be me, DH, DS9 and DS5. Been reading the threads, and I don't understand what an "FE" is. Also, I gather there is some sort of list of people who want to meet up on the cruise? But I can't figure out how that works either. Anybody from the New Orleans area going?

Welcome aboard! On page 31 post 452 is the info for the DIS meet.

Forgot to say, this is not only our first Disney cruise, it's our first cruise- period!! So I'm not exaggerating when I say I have no idea what I'm doing!! I am usually a super-planner, but this time, I'm trying not to over-think things. We aren't going to try to do everything; we just want a nice, relaxing week with (hopefully) a few breaks from our kids!! And, of course, a leisurely Thanksgiving with no cooking, cleaning, or dishes to do! I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!

Welcome aboard!! I think you will love the cruising experience. It can be as relaxing or as active as you want it to be. You will never run out of things to do if you want, or you can lounge around all week long if that is your pleasure.

Melody

Thanks, Scooby3x1y! I see you're in SLC- we went to SLC, Moab, and Park City this past spring and LOVED it. Utah is so beautiful!!

DH and I are big football fans. We want to
extend an invitation to everyone to join us
in Diversions on Sunday for the 1:00 and 4:00
NFL games. DCL always has snacks...

Fun times....

Thanks! We really like it here. Originally from So. Cal. there is a big difference in lifestyle. :goodvibes

Thanks, Melody! How old are your DD's, and do they like the Oceaneer Club/Lab? I'm really hoping it isn't overly crowded. Both of my DS's get sensory overload if it's too wild.

Michelle:

Really appreciate that... Will check it out... No problems either way.. Really looking forward to seeing how grown up your little one has gotten.

Wendy
Wendy we have forbidden her to grow up :rotfl:

We will be 15min down the street..that is where we live

Welcome aboard. The clubs are hit or miss....there are times it is crazy and times there are not too many people in there. Last Thanksgiving most of the time my DD went she was not enjoying it....she does not like loud and rowdy places. But just talk to the CM's and they will do all they can to help

So my daughter is so excited because yesterday she found out a friend from her class will be on the ship. Her parents are the sign language interpreters...I love to go to the shows and watch them almost more than the performances.

That poor teacher cause the girls are so excited and are literally giddy school children. :rotfl2: And poor me cause I am going to teach that class on Thursday....I will need to tie those girls down to the chairs.
