swollen bottom lip = overexposure to sun?

For the 2nd morning now Ive woken up with a swollen bottom lip. Could this be from overexposure to sun? I have been using blistex but maybe not enough?

so I wear a lipstick in the summer or when I go to Disney that has a spf 15 in it...it is also a good idea in the winter with the snow and the sun shining on it....be careful.....

Two coworkers have problem with their bottom lips swelling when they have too much sodium in their foods.

YES! This exact thing happend to me on a trip to Aruba a few years back. I got way too much sun and woke up the next day with my bottom lip swollen - I thought maybe I had been bitten by something. I asked someone at the hotel and they said they see it often and told me what to do. Buy a product called "Campho-phenique" - it is for cold sores. You rub it on and the swelling goes down quickly. My lips peeled and were chapped for a bit after this mess.

this happens to my DH after full sun exposure too, especially out on the boat.

I would stay from Blistex though, it actually can make your lip worse b/c it dries them up causing you to feel dry all the time and keep having to reapply it, when you really need what Jenn suggested. Good luck!
