Switching Resorts

I! We are arriving at WDW on Saturday. Our initial plans were to arrive on Sunday and stay at BLT. When we decided to go a day earlier, we couldn't find any DVC accommodations, so we booked our first night at POR. How do we go about getting our luggage from POR to BLT? Should we take our luggage ourselves and get transferred to BLT by taxi on our second morning, or will Disney transfer our luggage for us? TIA.

Bell Services will transfer luggage and groceries (if you have any) between resorts for you. You can either drop off your items at the bell stand or call and have them come to your room. They only transfer once during the day (around 2 PM), so your items will not be available at the new resort until closer to 4 PM. At the new resort, you can either pick up your stuff from the bell stand or call and have them deliver.

When we were there in Dec, we did a split stay between AKL and the Poly.

Dropped our luggage off at bell services at AKL in the morning and told them we would be checking in at the Poly later that day... then went to the parks.

When we got to the Poly after the day in the park, our luggage was at bell services ready to be taken to our room.

If you want bell services to pickup luggage in your POR room...after checkin, stop by the bell services desk, and reserve a pickup time for the next day.

Thank you for the replies. I think we will just take our luggage to bell services, head to the parks, and hope it is at BLT later that day. Thanks so much for the help. Now, if we can get some soft openings for the Mine Train we will be all set.
