Switching resorts for free dining December 2016?

Hi-
We have a Free Dining package for mid-December, and the only resort left under the Free Dining offer was All Star Sports. EVERY resort was full, even without the code (we booked 2 months ago).

I'm curious if it's opened up a bit-we would like to upgrade to a Moderate. Thanks for your help!

The dates to book Free Dining has already passed. You will not be able to change resorts at this time.

I tired to add another day to our free dining package and they would not even let me do that. Once the free dining booking window closes you scan not make changes. I did add a day still but no free dining for that day.

Not sure how many of you there are or how much you want the dining plan, but the room only discounts came out, so you could check your dates with that. You'd be giving up free dining though. I go with just my husband, so it works better for us - it seems people with kids doing a lot of character meals/buffets do better on the plan. Also, the room discount is likely not as much as the cost of the dining plan at a moderate (it is definitely worth it to get a room discount over dining at a deluxe). Maybe crunch the numbers on what you plan to eat and see if doing the RO discount at a moderate is a better plan for you

Actually if you go onto MDE and look at your reservation, you can click on change resorts. It will give you a list of resorts that are still available under that promo and your dates, if any. I want to change my hotel and I can see a list of possible options, none that I want.

It is possible to change hotels under a promo even if the booking time has passed. It just depends on what their system says you can do.
