Switching resorts at 7 months

I've never done this and my 7 month window opens tomorrow. Do you cancel one day of the original reservation and book a day at the non-home resort each day?

Sounds like a lot of work.....I need to decide if its worth it!

At exactly 7 months out from date of arrival you can book up to 7 nights. Thus, on May 21 you could book a Dec 21 arrival with a Dec 28 departure as long as all days are available and thus you would call, ask to determine if what you want is available, and, if so, then cancel home resort and book the the other resort for those 7 nights.

The real issue you will face at this time is whether what you want is available since Christmas time is a high demand time and you may have difficulty getting near park resorts.
