Switching resort question?

When we go to WDW we'll be changing resorts from CSR to Poly on Wed. My plan is to check out and have them transfer our luggage while we hit the bus to MK and check into Poly after we're done at the parks. The problem is we'll be bringing our laptop with to download our pics onto each day so what do we do with that? Would it be safe to check it at the front desk when checking out and have them transfer it? Make a quick trip over to Poly to check it in there on our way to MK? Or rent a locker at MK to store it in? Which would be the safest option?

We just transferred from BCV to CBR and had a digital camera and laptop buried
in one of our suitcases. It made it fine. They basically move it from one resorts
storage area to the other and then when you get to your destination, call bell services. If you check it with the front desk at either resort, my guess is that they will turn if over to bell services. I've never used the lockers so I won't comment on that. Good luck.

I've had my lap top transferred twice without a problem. I usually pack it in my main suitcase--I don't put it in anything that looks like a computer bag.

Perhaps you can call over to the Poly and see if they have a safe deposit box big enough to hold a laptop if you are that concerned about it.

I do not think I would rent a locker at the MK for it, though. I don't know how climate controlled those are, and if for some reason you couldn't get a locker, it would stink to have to carry it around.

I don't think you will have any trouble storing it with bell services. I used to work at the all-stars and in the lugguage dept it is secure. The people are too busy (and too nice)to go in and steal something, if that's what you are worried about. If you are worried about it being damaged just tell them that that bag is fragile. I am sure it will be fine!
