Switching offers & resort??

I just got back on Friday and booked bb for WL. When we got home we found the "Monster" PIN in our mailbox and are considering down grading to a Mod to free up some money for dlx ddp and/or MVMCP, but I am wondering how much of an ordeal it would be to change both the offer and the resort? Would I have to cancel the bb offer and put down a new deposit for the new offer? Can they just modify the existing ressie? Apply the deposit I already paid to the new ressie without refunding it?

I only ask because I can not really spare an extra $200 right now to make the new ressie and then wait for a refund on the old one so this may be a big factor, along with being able to get the Mod resort I want, in switching offers.

I'm not sure how the deposit would work. Perhaps they can create the new ressie then transfer the deposit as they cancel the old one.

This is worth a call to find out.

I don't think there will be a problem. I believe they are used to changing packages and resorts all the time. I know we have done it before when discounts became available.

Currently we are booked using the "Monster Pin" and will change if Free Dining becomes available, as we are booked at POP Century for our upcoming trip.

Just double check the specifics. Some of the time Free Dining can be better than a discount (Mainly at the value resorts, I think). Probably the discount is better at the Moderate Resort level.

I was able to book at the same resort and use the same ressie number.

The only difference for me is that it didn't start till the second day of my trip. I had to book a room-only ressie and pay the full first night (one night). They credited the deposit towards my package and the final amount is still due on the same day it was on the original package.

I just got off the phone with Disney and we just modified the original ressie so the number stayed the same and we used the same deposit.
I got POR water view for my dates and saved an additional $270 (from 40% off WL wood view) I am super excited to try some place new and save some more money!!

Great. Glad it worked out. I didn't think they would have trouble doing that. We love WL. I have heard great things about POR.

Sad we are staying at POP this time, but we have a large group going and not everyone can afford WL, like we can. Still we haven't stayed POP and am looking forward to seeing it.

Our first trip was to WL and we loved it but since it is just dh and I and our anniversary is so close to Christmas (not to mention we just got back on Friday from BC) we decided to save the extra $$ to use towards other things.

I hope you have a great time at POP. I hear many people love it there.
