Right now, we are currently booked with 2 rooms during free dining at Pop Century dec 15th-21st.

My brother mentioned something about wanting to switch to All Star Sports instead. We checked and they still have rooms available for free dining for our dates. Our 45 Day mark passed this past sunday and we have fully paid our packages.

My brother will be out here for Thanksgiving and we were going to make a final decision while they are here but can we change our hotel that close to our dates? Its only 3 weeks before we leave. There would be no change in price of the 2 packages but can we still change if we want to?

I have this feeling that we wont change resorts but I want to have an answer about if we can or cannot before it is even brought up at Thanksgiving.

If there is still availability, I don't see why you couldn't change resorts :). There is usually a change fee when making changes once you hit your 45 days, but Disney has been known to waive that fee if your total cost increases. I'm not sure if you would be charged or not since your total cost will stay the same......they may just switch the resort and not charge anything. Good luck deciding and I hope it works out if you do decide to change resorts :wizard:.

I think if it is after 45 days out you get charged. I just changed yesterday and it was before the 45 day mark so they told me no charge to change. I would chack again I wouldnt pay to change :santa:

You would be within the range where a change fee can be charged. Usually Disney will only charge you if you are decreasing the cost of your package. However, I believe this is an unwritten rule so they would be in the right to charge you for any change.

I would see if there is a cost difference in the packages.

There should be a very small price increase because of the tax difference between Osceola and Orange counties. Due to the All Stars and AKL being in different counties than the other WDW resorts, their tax rates are .5% higher, so with that tiny difference the pkg should go up just a few dollars. Whether it's enough to make Disney waive the change fee I don't know.
