Switching from Poly to CBR??? Please help!

Was this some time ago? I know they changed the way they handled the stops at one point but in 2015 and again a few weeks ago we got on at Jamaica and left to the parks after Barbados (2 stops later) unless it was full sooner. Coming back we were usually the first drop off, but if they came in at Martinique (the other starting point) we were the 5th stop.

Admittedly, I've never stayed on the monorail line so it might be a wonderful perk. But I have dined at resorts on the monorail line when they monorail has gone down and found that a pretty huge pain as well. $1300 for 1/2 monorail service I still just can't see as worth it, but everyone decides what they find to be worth it or not.

It was a couple of years. But from posts I have seen it is still a bit of a mixed bag. That's not the only reason I dislike CBR. The food court is pretty limited, imho. And even from Jamaica it was a longer walk then I wanted. We were right by the bus stop, which is what was the most important (I had my 70+ dad along) but he ended up not going up front much. And the whole set up of check in being in a separate building is just odd.

Just as a note, you don't HAVE to take the internal shuttle. It's very walkable to pretty much all the villages from the Customs House. The desk CMs make it sound like you have to take the shuttle, but you don't.

So true! After all that traveling, it's nice to be able to stretch your legs and walk from the Customs House. It was a little tricky to find the walking path to the rest of the resort, but a CM pointed us in the right direction and we enjoyed a very nice walk to our room.

Unrelated, but for all those people who just say they didn't like CBR, I'd be curious to know why. Too spread out? Didn't like the theming? Not enough amenities? For people who are trying to pick a resort, it might be nice to know more details.
