Switch Health for Travel Testing

Has anyone used Switch Health for pre-departure travel testing lately? I've tried stalking the Costco and Walmart sites for testing with no success and Switch Health is cheaper than Shoppers and I get Aeroplan points if we do it with Switch.

We went to Niagara because the kids had their Nexus interviews a few weeks ago and my daughter was selected to do arrival testing through Switch. It took days to get the results back so I'm quite hesitant with going with them.

I'm starting to get anxiety about testing. I didn't think this would be this difficult to plan this hence why I'm starting so late.

The pre-departure testing is antigen - that you do yourself at home, they just watch you and you have your results within 15 mins.

Not the same as the border tests.

We used switch health in February. It was very simple and quick. After 15 minutes we uploaded a photo of our tests and within a couple minutes we were sent our official results.

Oh, so you didn't have to go to an actual place to get it done? Did you have to get kits delivered?

We purchased antigen tests from Switch for our trip last year but didn't end up having to use them because we drove across the border. We will be using them next week for a flight and from what I read you log in and then do the test on video chat and they will send you confirmation of the results by email to use for your flight

This is similar to what we had to do for my daughter’s return test but it took 5 days for results to come in. I’m sure it’s different for travel testing, right?

No. The kits get sent to you, and you take them with you. They are rapid tests that you do while being directed by someone via a teleheath call.

What I'm even more upset about was that I check the CDC site often to see if the requirements changed and did so before booking these tests. Debating on the effort of trying to get a full refund on this or eat the $40 cancellation fee ($10 x 4 tests).

Not sure why but the thread announcing testing no longer being required was locked? The comments were not political and it's obviously important for people with upcoming trips to know they no longer need to pay for a test. Can a moderator reopen that?

I believe anything to do with testing for travel is supposed to be in the Pinned thread at the top. Anything else gets locked.
Hopefully they add it to the top so people see it. We were excited that it's being dropped as it makes things much less stressful for our summer trip.
