Swiss Family Treehouse?

My almost 8 year old loves it. Now that said, we don't really stop to take the time and look at much. Just up and down. But it's still a must do for him. I actually preferred the one at Disneyland as it did have a bit of interactive stuff you could play with at the end.

It really only takes as long as you want it to. When we went there was zero lineup - so easy to fit it in. And it is pretty cute. My daughter at 5 had not seen the movie, but she thought it was pretty cool.

Is it anything more than a museum type walk-thru? Is there anything interactive in it? The DS was he would like to do it. I have watched it on You-Tube and don't really think it's going to be as fun as he is expecting.

What little boy wouldn't like to climb up into an amazing multi room multi level tree house. Every kid thinks a tree house is cool, and this one is the coolest. Watch the old movie. Be prepared for him to want one in his own back yard!

My 5 and 8 year old went on it 3 times on our last trip (January). When we got home,they requested to read the book--so we read an abridged version. Then they wanted to watch the movie. We had some great conversations comparing the book, movie, and actual treehouse.

JFor some reason, tt was one of the things that impressed them most from the trip, and they've continued to enjoy it through the book and movie since our return home.

We love it and have been doing it since my son was little. He loved the movie and could tell you everything about it. My only complaints are that most people tend to just climb up then down and if you try to actually stop and look and take in the details you tend to feel rushed. If you do decide to do it, watch the movie first, it will make a lot more sense then. I can't tell you how many times I've been going through it and kids were bored because they didn't know the story and the parents didn't either so they couldn't explain it to them.

Definitely agree with having him watch the movie. My daughter loved talking about all the stuff she saw in the movie and walking through the "real" treehouse

If they were to update the treehouse, wouldn't they then need to make it ADA compliant?

What would that look like? Chair lifts, elevators? I know, maybe we would all just stand on a platform and the whole tree it self would move up and down and spin around so you can see all parts of it instead of us moving up and down and all around.

I'm surprised Disney hasn't release a "Robinson" Pixar movie yet. They could update the tree then.

My kids love it! To them it's not boring at all. They love to let their minds run wild and pretend what it must have been like to be shipwrecked and live in a tree house
