Swiss Army Knife in the parks?

I have carried a Swiss Army knife into the parks several times and haven't had a problem. They don't search pockets and are getting lax in searching bags as well.

Unless you are married to MacGyver, there is no reason to bring it into the park.

UPDATE! If you get caught with a knife they will confiscate it. However a Swiss army knife is rather big!

Ummm, yeah, I'm the one the carries it in the diaper bag. If I'm carrying a diaper bag, I'm sure as heck not going to carry a purse too, just so that I can put a little pocket knife in it. When kids get new toys, they dont like to wait till they get back to the hotel room hours later to play with them.

I too carry a Leatherman everywhere I go. When I travel I put it in my checked luggage. When I get to WDW I keep it in my pocket. I'm not sure I've ever used it at WDW or DLP or DL but I like to have it in case I do need it.

Again, a pocketknife is not considered contraband anywhere but on an airplane (or in a school)..

...hospitals...court houses...jails...DISNEY WORLD (see article 14 ON THIS THREAD), every other park in the USA....Movie theaters (some do check for them)....Govt office buildings....!

Its not a "terrorist weapon" because it can do so little damage to so few people.)..

Can you quarantee that?

A pocketknife MIGHT be "bad news" on a commercial airliner (not so much anymore, with heightened passenger awareness),
but it is of little threat in large public places where cutting a single person (or two) would not generate a "mass catastrophe"..)..

So say if 500 terrorist came into WDW with pocket knives, You are OK with this? Also, what if that 1 or 2 people were your spouse & child???? REALLY!!!

I wouldn't want to be threatened by a knife, of course, but its not the kind of "weapon of mass destruction" that a terrorist group would use."..)..

As discussed earlier, if a deranged person is out to do serious harm to another individual, a pocketknife (or lack thereof) would not be the determining factor.

A deranged person (singular) yes.! Although...as someone who did get stabbed with a pocketknife....It did Hurt, and I did need stitches..and it did leave a scare!

Terrorist NEVER rarely work alone!!!!!!
