swimming pools

I will be staying at ASMo and wondered if you are allowed to use the swimming pools in the other disney hotels ?

You are allowed to use other All Star pools since they are all "sister" resorts, but you can't go to any other resorts unless you are staying at that resort. I've heard they check IDs, especially at the deluxe resorts. By the way, if you stay at POR or POFQ, they are also "sister" resorts and staying at one allows you to use the others pool. There was just a thread on this last week!

I have been at the pool at the Beach Club, staying there, and have seen them checking ID's as you come in or going around to the guests... I guess they have to otherwise the pools would be overcrowded with no room for the paying guests..

Once upon a time, when you stayed on disney property, you were entitiled to use any of the resort pools. But, that is no longer true. The main problem started with Storm Along Bay at the Y&B club. Too many guest from other resorts were using SAB and Y&B club guest could not use their own pool area because it was soo crowded. Thus the change.
