We will be at the GCH the first week in November. Any chance of the kids getting to swim in the cool-looking pool?
We leave the sunday before Veteran's Day- Any Crowd predictions?

I hope you get to! My kids LOVED the pool with the slides. We swam every afternoon and it kept everyone sane and helped break up the day. It did get cool when the sun went behind the building but during the day it was perfect. Just so you know, they are building the DVC units right off the pool so there are some construction noises and cranes, etc. My kids loved watching the cranes lift the materials up but I heard some trying to relax on the loungers say they wished it was more quiet. The chaises there are the most comfortable I have ever been on at any hotel, very plush!!

For us it will depend on the forecast. If daytime temps are in the 70s (or higher), I have no doubt my boys will insist on going to the pool in December. :rotfl:

Even on a trip last October, they insisted on going to the pool in the evening... when it was dark and chilly. :cold:

Granted they were only there about 15 minutes before coming back with chattering teeth between blue lips, but they insisted, and DH was crazy enough to indulge them. :lmao:

We've been to DL a couple of times in December (and we're going this year too!) and the kids always swim. We're from WA, so anything above 55 degrees is warm!

Are you thick skinned northerners? :rotfl: (We're from Florida and now live in Vegas! :cool2: ) We were there late Sept last year and attempted to go swimming. We were all shivering and didn't stay out very long. I would go at 1 or 2 pm on the warmest day of your trip! Don't wait until late afternoon, the sun will go down early in Nov and it really gets chilly!

This made me laugh out loud! I am originally from Ohio, but have lived in Vegas for the past 2.5 years. We were at DLR during the first week of September this year and we attempted to go to the pool one night around 8 pm. Suffice it to say that we lasted less than 15 minutes before heading back upstairs to the warmth of our room. The temperature was in the 80s-90s during our trip, and I can't even imagine wanting to go in the water in November or December!

If you are from FL, CA, NV, AZ, TX, or NM then no and if Im forgetting anywhere else sorry...anything under 90 and I cant do it...too cold brrr

We live in Utah and my kids are sooo planning on using the pool at HoJo when we are there. But, we will be coming from weather in the 30's and possibly snow. So, anything above 65-70 is Warm! :rotfl: They will probably insist on shorts, too.

I was hating our 85 degree temps last week - but we seemed to have skipped fall and gone straight to winter since we had SNOW this last weekend! And when I drove my kids to school there was frost. Thank goodness the snow has melted where I live.

We plan on being in the pool. At least during the day. Night time will be a "we'll see". I fully expect that we will be leaving behind cold weather, maybe even snow (mom and dad had snow at their house yesterday:sad2: ). So anything will be warmer than what we will be at home in November.
