I know this will be moved but has

anybody on here done the ( swim with the DOLPHINS. ) Is it only at DISCOVERY COVE or is there somewhere else.

where is discovery cove from WDW

I 've been on the site. Can you just do the SWim with Dolphins or the whole day.

WDW has the "Dolphins in Depth" program held at the Living Seas at EPCOT. There is a DVC member discount for the program. The first portion of the day is a classroom discussion about dolphn physiology and ecology and an introduction to the studies being done with the resident dolphins.

The second portion of the program is where participants put on provided wet suits and enter the dolphin tank on a ledge at the top of TLS. You will be in about 3-4' of water and will have an up-close-and-personal excounter with the mammals (as long as they are cooperative). Participants get a souveneir shirt and a video of the experience.

There is also a dolphin encounter at Discovery Cove as Sea World. YOu might want to ask questions about that program on the Sea World/Discovery Cove forum.

Enjoy!

Discovery cove is across the street from SW - next door to HGVC.

you pay a bunch of money for swimming with the Dolphin for 30 minutes the entire group. (don't remember how many in a group - 5 or 6)

you can pay a $100 less not to swim with the Dolphins.

there is annual pass discount for SW passes.

We swam with the dolphins last year at Discovery Cove. We had a great time even though it cost a bundle. You get the use of wet suits and snorkles and face masks, plus you get a very nice buffet lunch. You get to keep the snorkles. We also swam with the rays and swam through the aviary. We were there from about 8AM until about 5PM. Our pass to DC included 7 day tickets to Sea World (starting the day we went to Discovery Cove) which we used one day of. I think it cost about $275 per person for each of us (2 adults and one 11 yr old kiddo).

I know this isn't what you mean, but sometimes, the Atlantic bottlenose dolphins are just "right there" as we swim in Cape May NJ! They are awesome!!

Bobbi :thumbsup2

PS. I've done the Seas Aqua Tour, sort of snorkeling (but with a tank) in the Living Seas and that's a great tour, I would do it again!

I did the dolphins in depth program at Disney World a couple of years ago and as a person who is afraid of the water but loves sea creatures it was absolutely perfect. I loved it, loved it, loved it!!!
