Where are some good sites (with some good prices) to start looking for swim suits...I'm picky...but need a new suit-especially for our cruise!
PLEASE HELP!!!

I like Newport News. I bought several suits via their website on clearance last year, and I think it's already clearance time for them again. I think their website is www.newportnews.com
And even good old Wal-Mart and K-Mart had some nice tummy-trimming suits this year, although I'm sure their selection is gone by now.

I just bought a $64.00 Robby Len one piece lycra on sale at Kohl's Department store for $23.99...great price .
Sizes vary too much for me to buy bathing suits on line.
Kohl's and Macy's in my area are having good sales now.

I recently got 2 new suits at Macy's...half off! Didn't really plan on buying them for this cruise but they were so cheap that I couldn't pass it up...oh well, will have to vacation again I guess!

I have two sites where I buy suits:

www.victoriassecret.com

www.venusswimwear.com

Both will allow you to purchase tops and bottoms separately (great for sizing) and both have, shall we say, figure-enhancing suits. ;)

I'm actually partial to Victoria's Secret right now, I just got two great suits from them that I will be wearing in Hawaii next week! :teeth:

I've always had good luck with JCPenney.com.

I've also had luck at Penney's. They're mostly on sale now. A comment for the ladies - think about the tankini. It's much easier to wear - especially when a potty break is necessary. Having two pieces is like wearing a shirt and a pair of shorts. Don't be self-consious and just break down and buy one. I'm actually more comfortable in one - just make sure you buy one that fits appropriately.

I want to echo what Kim just said about the tankini, no matter what your size is! I wear a "woman's" size and I bought my first tankini for my cruise this summer and I was SO glad to have it, especially when using the ladie's room. It's SO much easier than having to pull a wet one-piece bathingsuit down while trying to not let it all touch the floor! LOL Tankinis come in all sizes now and they meet in the middle so it does just look like you're wearing shorts and a top. The bottoms I chose had a little skirt on it which helped to cover the areas I wanted covered. LOL You can choose different sized tops and bottoms, which is what I always need to do, so this way you know each piece will fit correctly.

i vote for the tankini too--and i am not a twig---i got one that i felt comfortable in--the key to buying a bathing suit is trying it on--i think----unless you are a size 2 no matter what!!! we have a Nordstrom's Rack near us---great suits---also ross dress for less had some very cute suits this year---try marshalls and tj maxx too.

I just bought two sport tankinis from Land's End for my cruise this week. They were expensive, but very well worth it. This is the bathing suit I've been dreaming of for thirty years! It's a tank top with shorts instead of the typical panty or skirt! I've always hated walking around in bathing suits that feel like underwear. The quality is excellent, it's very comfortable, and very cute. Good luck!

I forgot to mention that Land's End has excellent swimsuit fit consultants to help you get the right size. I had no idea what size to get, as I am still shedding pregnancy weight and am nursing. You can get help online and over the phone. My suits fit perfectly, and I always have a hard time finding anything that fits.

A few wks ago I found mesh shorts to wear over a bathing suit. Ive usually worn shorts over my suits. With the mesh shorts I feel like Im covered but at the same time showing a little more skin (just lost 10lbs plus the 15lbs I lost last fall)
Lots of people have stopped me to ask where I found these mesh shorts. I found them with the bathing suit coverups.

Just to echo the JC Penney's vote, also Tankini's are on sale at JC penney now.
