I am going on on a 4 night cruise in 38 days :bounce: and read somewhere that kids in diapers can not go into the pools with swim diapers.

Has anyone heard this to be fact?

That is true. Diapers are not allowed in the pools, and that includes swim diapers. One ear of the Mickey pool is reserved for kids who are not potty trained and are wearing swim diapers. It is really more of a splash area, not a pool.

Although it is correct that any child in a swim diaper cannot use the pools, don't be disappointed. My son will be 2 on the 17th and loves swimming. We are currently potty training and, although he normally wears "big boy underware" during the day, he still wears diapers at night and swim diapers when we go to the pool. We cruise on the Magic Sept. 11th and I'm sure he'll love being able to splash around in the Mickey ear. At our pool he spends most of his time in the wading pool or the fountains so I'm thinking he probably won't notice that he's confined to one ear of Mickey's pool. I understand the regulation and will abide by it happily and hope to see all other parents of little ones doing the same.

We cruised in March w/my son who was 2 1/2 and working on potty training. He stayed in Mickeys ear the entire time and didn't even notice the difference. He loved just splashing the spouting water in the ear!!
