Just back from the World, and for all those sweet iced tea fans out there......I actually had real brewed, sweet tea this time in WDW!!! :) It was offered at GG in EPCOT and 50's PTC in HS. Last year all I could find was the Gold Peak fountain crap at the TS restaurants, so this was a pleasant surprise! I know it isn't offered everywhere and I did not see any at CS locations, but be sure to ask!

Woo Hoo...that's great news! I've been in North Carolina for Five years now and am kinda addicted to that stuff! :thumbsup2

I'm a NC native, but live in northern WV now (just outside of Pittsburgh) and it's hard to come by up here! Thank goodness for McDonalds and Cracker Barrel! (and my DH, who makes the best sweet tea in the world, considering he was born north of the Mason Dixon line! :lovestruc )

That is great news - nothing like a glass of GOOD sweet tea. I remember the last time we went to Disney we couldn't find any. (Funny how the three replies so far are from people with NC connections  - we do love our sweet tea!)

I had sweet tea at Flame Tree last year and it was ok. Not sweet enough, but not bad. Though maybe I was just thrown off by the great food, lol.

We had some at Tony's in MK in May, much to my surprise! The waitress told us it was "testing" to see how it was received - we definitely drank our share!

I know it was at GG in May 2010, also, which was a nice surprise then, too.

I'm so excited!:yay::dance3: Thanks for sharing! I LOVE sweet tea! It will be a nice change from drinking water all the time. I have stopped drinking soda. I was only drinking Mountain Dew but drank orange soda at WDW. I was dreading having water only. This will be great! I will ask at every resturant just to make sure.

This is good to hear! We are always in search of good sweet tea too and we're from the Midwest! When we were there last December, we asked for sweet tea at Kona Cafe and our waitress said they didn't have it, but she could bring us sugar syrup from the bar to sweeten our tea with. That actually worked out pretty good! We also found sweet tea that we liked at Wolf Gang Puck Express/Marketplace.

Thanks for sharing! We'll be back in January to check it out.

PLEASE any and everyone visiting the world in the next year -- drink sweet tea! I'm obsessed with good sweet tea and I want Disney to keep it through until we get there!!! :rotfl:

Did you happen to notice if this is in addition to the unsweetened or in place of it?

Sweet tea is all over Disney, even though it's not listed on menus. Some restaurants - CHH, for example - don't list any iced tea on their menu, but actually have both sweet and unsweetened. If you want sweet tea, go ahead and ask.

At both restaurants (GG and 50's PTC) I was offered a choice of sweetened or unsweetened real brewed tea! Biergarten only had unsweetned brewed tea, but it was ok after I added my sugar packets and a couple of lemons! Our other TS were all for breakfast, and I didn't think about ordering tea then.

Friend traveling with us this past June was constantly told, "No sweetened, just un-sweetened tea." She was grumpy. :headache: We ate mostly TS and Signature.
