I just wanted to share about my co workers daughter being granted a WISH!!i Tori is a 16year old girl diagoised with Thyroid Cancer . She has undergone many treatments and hospital stays including CHEMO!!! It has been hard on Tori and the family!!Her Mom Jess has had to take much time off work and as a single Mom this has been a huge burden financially !!One of the sacrifices they have mad is NO INTERNET so she can't share her story and Tori's with my Dis Family !She has gone to the library and checked out the Dis and tried to find as much info as she can !!
I remember from Tim's PTR that the waiting for info from WISH was a little trying and she has the same issues !!
So far she knows that they have a villa booked for June 25th at M.A.W village and that a Limo will take them to the airport and a rental car is provided !! Also a day at Seaworld as Tori mentioned the Dolphins during her interview !!
Jess (her Mom) told me the kid's have never seen the oceon so she plans to drive to Daytona for the day !!
Tori was over the moon happy when the WISH lady told her if she wanted icecream at 3 a.m. she could have it !!
I have described the Village to her from Tim's many posts and they are all soooo excited about this .
Jess told me she hadn't applied before because she thought there were more needy kids !! I soon set her straight and linked her to the site and with in a very short time they were approved !! Jess has already signed up to help at camps this summer as her way of giving back for this sooooo deserved WISH!!

Rosie- If they need any info or need to talk to anyone about the MAW process or GKTW you can give them my info. I will try to help them any way that I can.

Oh, Rosie, LOVE the pics! Kyle looks so sweet and so very proud.

So, yesterday I was in Target and was going to buy some OFF to use on luggage when my friend and I drive to VA for 3 ngts this summer...BUT....it had one with 25% Deet (deep forest) and one with 15% - did not want to overdo the Deet so waited. Which one did you buy? Geesh, who knew we'd be having such a discussion!

BTW, over my busy weekend I did manage to find something you had me looking for. While shopping Target to get Matt all set up in an apartment until he has to report to his Navy base and ship I managed to find my very own Bobble Bottle which I am now proudly using at work!

More People and Places news today !!Gotta call about me telling them their printer was my SIL !!They were tickled to hear that !! They have been dealing with her for 20 years !!!Nothing but good comments !!She also asked if I could rustle up 2 more escorts for the Lake George Trip well I have a couple of co workers in mind and one at least is VERY interested !!! So Carol and I will be the TRAINERS for more than 1 set of escorts !!
Of course Dan also talked me into Cedar point so I have 3 Free Trips this year !!!

The news continues !!!I went for a Staff Appreciation breakfast this morning with Dan , the food was great and the Higher Ups served us :I LOVEthat !!!!
I recruite another escort for Lake George and very possibly another !! So now I will know 6 of the 8 escorts very well !!Carol got our Trip check and we are going shopping !!The Company is very generous and the guys we are taking are gonna have a BALL!!!
I had already mentioned that our group was slow , the youngest WAS 72 .. well today I found out who the 6th guy was and VOILA he is 57 buttttttt he is BLIND!!So he wont be any quicker than the others
Carol is excellent in orienting the Blind to their rooms and ambulating , I learnt a lot from her last year when we also had a BLIND guy !!! Do Ya see a pattern here
I have found 4 restaurants for us to have dinner at 2 are repeats !! We want to go to Johhny Rocketts Saturday when Elvis is performing there !!We had a Ball there last year !!!!!

Yes we just lucked out last year and as we walked in the Manager said 'You are here to see Elvis ""We both had really dumb looks on our faces !! But the "ELVIS" was awesome
