Is there anything in there on the Fantasy really worth buying? Unique?

We’ve had ice cream there a couple times. It was fine - there is just so much other food on the fantasy that we never need to pay extra for ice cream. They also had prepackaged sweets - like you would find at a Disney park or resort.

That is what I am thinking. With so much other food onboard, if anything was super special?

I think the gelato is better than any dessert you'll get in the MDR. Of course that's subjective, but it's cheaper than any gelato place I know of on land. I take of advantage of that at least once a cruise.

Not sure you can call it gelato. Its not creamy like gelato. In fact i think the taste is quite average. Its like ice cream quality from the 1990s.

Pefer the free soft serve to be honest.

To each their own. We like it. I guess OP will have to try the gelato for herself and report back.
