My daughter keeps talking about this place. Guess she's heard about it from girls at school. Is it worth getting her a gift card for Christmas? I don't know anything about it, but I know they do parties which I wouldn't do. I was thinking maybe a $50 gift card and she could go get what she wants. Is it nice there?

I don't think I would buy a giftcard to Sweet & Sassy. My daughter got one in July for her bday and the Sweet & Sassy where we live closed down the next month. We don't have another close, so we are stuck with the card. They had really cute stuff but really expensive and overpriced.

We have had a party there once for Girl Scouts and have another booked for January. The birthday parties are very expensive (the one we did was $20 a girl and the one we are doing is $25 a girl) but just going for fun is great. We were just there on Monday, our does free updos and limo rides on Columbus day every year. My girls got their hair done and went for the ride in the hot pink limo and had a great time.

There is a little shop, they do hair cuts, up dos, stuff like that. I think the up dos are like $15. They have mix your own lotions for like $10. I think a $25 gift card would be enough, but that's just an opinion. We have never bought anything or had any servises not done with scouts.

To the PP, as for them going out of business, I'd email them and ask for a refund if there isn't a location near you.

We had one here for a couple years that closed this summer (think it's the same as PP mentioned in Papillion??) Anyway it was a cute place and my DD had her 7th B-day party there which was great and I highly recommend the parties. A GC though I wouldn't get. There isn't a ton of stuff to buy and it is pricey. They also do makeovers and manicures, pedicures and things like that. I have no idea if they are reasonably priced for that though.

I took my daughter for her 4th birthday. It was a really unique experience- full out salon for a kid! They even have stuff where you can make your own flavored lip gloss and such! they offer limo rides and a stage for the girls to sing karoake as part of their package deal.

Sammie enjoyed it thoroughly...would have probably loved it more as a 7-8 yo.

But yes- its expensive!

Ours went out of business too. I'd take her there for services rather than buy a gift card, you never know in this economy what's going to make it!
