Even though I'm won't be turning 16 until next August, my mom and dad told me that my twin sister and I should start deciding what we want to do for our birthday now. I'm set on going to Disney World for our "big day", after all, you only turn 16 once, and I want it to be something special and something that we'll remember. My mom INSISTS that we be there on the actual day of our birthday, which is August 31. We want to spend the whole week there, and I'm excited, even though the plans are just in the works. I have a few questions though...

~Since it is the end of August, how will the crowds be? I'll have to use a wheelchair, and it's kind of tough to manuver through crowds
~Is there anything I should expect on my actual birthday? I know they give you a HUGE pin with "It's my birthday!" on it, but is there anything else we can do to make it more special?
~How should I plan out what we want to do? Since it's for my birthday, planning it out might be the last thing on my mind, with the excitement and all:cutie:

Happy Planning!

WDW is very accomodating for people in wheelchairs, you will be fine. I had to use one on a trip several years ago after an accident and had no issues at all.

Plan a special meal on your birthday, Chef Mickey's would be fun!

The more planning the smoother things will go, plus planning is half the fun!

A good website (other then here of course) is allears.net.

Now GO!!!! Have Fun Planning Your Birthday!!!!!!

How about goin to the barber shop gettin hair cuts or just having hair put up in pretty ponytail an pixie dusted?

My DD really enjoyed eating at 1900 Park Fare for her Sweet 16 Prince Charming gave her extra attention an danced with her made all the other girls eating at same time very jealous. I'm sure he could come up with something to make you an your twin to feel special.

Since you actually goin on birthday you an twin can get fast pass for the day for up to 6 ppl in your party or the 75.00 of disney merchandise maybe 1 can get the fast pass an the other the 75.00 an both of you share the 75.00 split in half.

End of August is HOT an HUMID but the crowds are not to bad.....are you doing the FREE DINING?

Be sure to tell hostess when you go to sit down resturant it's your bday they will give you an twin a special dessert an sometimes a birthday card. Tell at checkin at your resort too DH an I got a card an balloons for our anniversary in Jan. Wear your buttons all week if you want many birthday greetings....esp wear on birthday.

Would your parents be willing to do the fireworks cruise for Illuminations?

How about a wishes firework cruise?? Our kids loved it and it remains one of their favorite things they've done at WDW. Have a great birthday, 16 is very special.
