sweet 16 gift?

Ok, I have to get a gift for a coworkers daughter who is turning 16, We only know theml from work and have no real out of work time in with anyone in the family.
We got invited to her Big 16th Bday party and have no idea what to give her.
is money or a gift card a good idea/ How much?

One of the coolest things I got (from my parents) was a really nice, well made key chain. I used if for many years after my birthday.

you could get her a gift card from like target or something so then she could get maybe some new music for her card i would so no more than 20 dollars because if you are not really good friends with them than you should not have to feel obligated to go all out on her. the gift card could be from somewhere else too i just suggested target because they have so much for people to love!!

you can get a beautiful coach one for under $50

i never knew people had big "sweet 16" parties...never see that around here

Since you dont' know her well, money or a gift card is a good idea. You could ask her parents if there is a certain store she likes. If she likes to read-Barnes and Noble gift cards are great. If you have a mall near you, you could probably get a mall gift card-that would let her spend it in any store in the mall.
I agree that $20-25 is probably the maximum to spend on her, since you don't know her very well.

I think the sweet 16 partys are big in the south never had them up north but have seen 10 or 12 BIG ones down here.

Last one we went to was a good friend's daughter so we gave her peral earrings.
think the target gift certif and movie passes may be the way we go on this one.

Target or Fla Mall which would be better?
20 or 25 $ sound like it would be enough?
