Sweeeeeeet Treats

Those really, really HUGE Mickey head shaped rice crispie treats from the MK sweet shop. We bought one last trip and munched on it all week!

We HAVE to have popcorn at Disney - and then I LOVE that cinnamon loaf thing at the MK Bakery - oooh and the cookies, ooooh and the dole whip .....oooh and a rice crispy treat!!! YUM!!!

The one thing I will totally allow myself will be a Triffle (sp?) from the England pavilion. I think you can even buy them from a vendor, you don't have to eat at the Rose & Thorn (if thats the name of it???) So yummy though - I make them at home too, but not in a very long time.... maybe its time again???

OMG, can I change my vote? I've never seen that before!!! I just had my first rice crispie treat yesterday, and YUM YUM YUM was it good!!! I didn't know what I was missing!! Can't wait to get one of those at Disney!!!

Beaver Tails are kind of like a donut but they're flat, served warm with cinnamon and sugar on top. They are yummy and we actually do have them in Canada (surprising 'cause things normally associated w/ Canada like 'back bacon' are things we have here but not like the stereotype). I like to get a Beaver Tail when I go skating on the Rideau canal in Ottawa:)

Our local Zoo used to sell something that sounds just like that. They called them Elephant Ears. I loved them but they stopped selling them years ago :sad1:

subscribing!!! We are leaving in 1 month and 8 days :cool1: and all these treats sound soooooooo good!!! How will I choose???:confused3

It's Rose and Crown. Anyway, what's a trifle??

Oh, and I forgot popcorn! It's not sweet, but it's a treat. Just like at home I can't go to the movies and not get popcorn......at WDW I can't watch a parade and not get popcorn!popcorn::

Its wasn't homemade, it was a huge box of Kelloggs that we got from BJs for the kids... problem is DH and I have eaten more than them!!! Even thought they are not homemade, they taste VERY fresh - maybe I'll look for the recpie and make them here... anyone got a mickey head cookie cutter???

OK, a trifle is a great dessert! You get a large glass bowl (I like using one of the huge margareta glasses you get from the craft store for presentation), and layer the bottom with lady fingers. You can brush the lady fingers with Brandy, or not. Then a layer of HOMEMADE whipped cream, then a layer of whatever fruit you want, but traditionally its strawberry. Then repeat. I also like to put some chocolate shavings on top of mine. Its very yummy, and a good treat to make for a party because you can make it in advance - its better if it sits for 6-12 hours!
