The words "damn", "hell", and "piss" are allowed to be written.

Though, I do have problems with the editing software. You can't write the slang term for "breasts" which is four letters long involving two "b"s and two "o"s. You can't write the proper names for reproductive organs. Since when are those bad words?

I do not swear with my family, nor with friends, nor online.

Swear words are swear words. Yep.

My exclaimations run along the same lines as "Holy guacamole!" and "Oh... snap...". And random angry nonsense noises. xD

I'll say a whole lot, but I will not say the N word. Thats crossing a line. It is the only word I pretty much refuse to say.

I kinda agree with Sparx here as far as "damn", "hell" and "piss" being able to be said. I wouldn't go, OMG THAT PERSON SWORE if I saw those words here. The DIS allows it. Though, I wouldn't want to see them used every other word...it's fine if they are used respectfully.

However, in regards to Sparx's last question...I assume those words aren't necessary on the "DISBoards" as they are more personal and gender specific that they don't really need people talking about them on a gender mixed board.

Like I said before, since those are the only allowed words, it doesn't bother me to read them.

I know the guidelines very well. I have had to use them against people in complaints and I have been here since '05. They are to me like keys on a piano...I don't have to look at them to "play" them.

I use those words here on the DIS VERY rarely, but that doesn't mean I have never used them. I have never used "piss" on the DIS, but I have used "damn" in private messages and "hell" on the boards in some rare cases. I don't usually have much use for them and I don't say words I don't have to. That goes for all vocabulary, not just the few people consider "bad".

I swear some of the times at home, but again, only when it is appropriate to. there are only a few words I ever find appropriate to say and one word I never find appropriate is the "F" word, the "N" word and the "C" word...as I tend to think I have a better vocabulary than that.

There are a few words I don't consider swear words, but the DIS does and as to respect the guidelines, I'm not going to go around their limits to tell you which.

Yes. All these kids at my school run around saying the N word with their friends, and calling their friends that as a joke. But its not funny.

I have never said a swear word...I just don't see the point. I really don't like it when people say them just for the sake of saying them. The word 'sex' falls into that category. I don't like it when people say that and giggle, acting like they are adults, mature enough to use a certain word. I think that people who think that swearing is 'sophisticated' are wrong, not to mention delusional. I know several people like that. Furthermore, I think that people who drop big bombs over little things, such as dropping a pen on the ground for instance, are at a pathetic state. They are so used to swearing that they will get worked up over nothing.
And I absolutely HATE when people ASK people who do NOT swear to swear, just so that 'they can hear you say the word.' That's moronic.
