SWDAS Dinner Attire

On SWDAS do people dress in costumes or themed T-shirt’s for dinner? We have shirts to wear during the day but wondering if we need something for dinner too. We’re not costume people but would definitely wear shirts.

Some people do. Some people don't. You won't feel out of place either way, or just wearing normal cruise casual.

My family plans to dress up! There are so few opportunities in life to dress up and actually have the people around me not look at me like I'm crazy. I am so very excited to costume with my family!

Seems to be that if people wear costumes, they wear them all day, including dinner - they don't get dressed specially for dinner only. My DH & DS both wear their costumes all day and to dinner. My DD & myself wear our Star Wars t-shirts.

Anything goes!! What is so fun is that you can wear whatever you want and others do, too, you will see it all!!

Haven't done a Star Wars cruise, but we did do Marvel. And I would say it's sort of like pirate night. Some people went all out and had amazing costumes, some people just wore themed T-shirts, and some people just wore regular cruise casual clothes. Do what makes you happy!

We wore t-shirts all day and to dinner. There were some really cool outfits out there. Some were so good you couldn't tell if they were cast members or not. Do start your day with the star wars shirts. It is fun getting picture of the cast members dress up though out the day. Loved the Storm Troopers going around the ship. The show before the fireworks is really cool , the night before be in the atrium at 10 pm that is when it really starts. I can't remember what they had in the navigator about it because a lot of people missed out but one of the officers was in the gift shop a few nights before and told us we have to be there but wouldn't tell us why.

We were in full costumes all day. We were not alone, but participation ranged from nothing at all to t-shirts to full-on hand-made cosplay. You will not feel out of place with any option you choose. We waited for that evening to take pictures with our servers. They were dressed in imperial costumes.

Disney has an extremely lax dress policy - as long as you're not wearing swimwear basically, you're fine to wear whatever. Tshirts and shorts (themed or not) is A-Okay.

My 3 were wearing full stormtrooper outfits to dinner. White stormtrooper outfits. I was hoping it wasn't a "red meal" kind of day

I expect us to change out of our full costumes and into themed shirts at dinner just for physical comfort. I actually bought a themed dress for that very purpose.

I was actually surprised at how few people dressed up for SWDAS when we sailed on March 17. As others have said, you'll see a full range of dress from Star Wars t-shirts to costumes to nothing Star Wars related at all.

My husband, son, and I wore Star Wars t-shirts, my girls wore their costumes. Plenty of people were just in regular clothes.
