Hi My page with Off KIlter using swatches of material to represent their kilts , beside thier picture, looks sloppy..When using fabric does anyone border them,do you hem them? Any ideas and thoughts. Thanks

I need a better idea of what type of fabric and how it will be used on the layout to give any feedback. Sometimes a piece of fabric looks just fine "as is" without hemming... gives sort of a casual look. But if your fabric is something that will unravel quickly or you are going for a more formal look, you may need to hem the pieces. Could you post a picture of your layout (as is, right now, incomplete) and share your "vision"? Thanks...............P

Or make sure to use the photos to cover the rough edges. So the material is more like a background paper.

I have made kilts on pages before. What I do is find a picture of the tartan I like and then tile that picture in word or publisher over and over to create my own paper. Then I cut what I need out of the paper. It is not fabric, but it still creates a nice unique look.

Just saying thanks for the suggestions, will try them now and futher scrap pages.Sorry I haven"t any idea how to transfer my page, do it same way I do pictures from my camera? Thanks

I think part of it is your taste and personal preference. When working with fabric, i personally like the rough edges on my pages... But I could see where that would bother some.
