We are headed to Disney in just over a week. For the first time, my family and I are doing Deluxe Dining. We do have several reservations in place. My question..... at some of the restaurants, the appetizer choices are not actually appetizing for everyone in our party of 5. What other options might there be? Even like on a wedge salad, can you get ranch dressing instead of blue cheese? Can you get just a regular garden or side salad? We certainly want to maximize our credits and would like to find something the kids would like. Thank you!

We were on Dxdp and ran into some issues finding appetizers for our DD. Most places would definitely change salad dressings or make minor changes to a dish so it was “plainer”.

I was really hoping Disney would be as accommodating as we all dream them to be. And what y'all have said seems to indicate that. We wouldn't need entirely new meals, just some tweaks on things so that the teens will want something other than their little sister's mac-n-cheese and chicken fingers? lol. thank you all!

A salad is usually "less" and they can always do that.

Actually, a salad is typically MORE EXPENSIVE than another appetizer.
. . . appy's can be ordered by the restaurant en-masse and have a good price
. . . salads require a lot of kitchen labor to shred lettuce, cut other items, and assemble
. . . plus, outside appy's can be stored, but salads get thrown away at the end of the day if not eaten (LOTS of waste)

Maybe a couple of carrots and a celery stick then. :)

The issue you may run in to is may find that many places don't have basic salads to even swap with. They aren't standard fare on all menus (probably due to items on Rusty's "list")
