30% off discount, tied with pool maintenance?

Is this 30% discount at Aulani from April 10th till June 12th somewhat normal, or is it because key attractions at the pool are down during a good bit of it? Do they do maintenance on the pool area consistently during this time of year?

I would expect pool maintenance and slow periods at the resort that lead to discounts would overlap.

The discount starts the week after Los Angeles spring break and ends right before their summer break begins. I think it's a slow time whether there is maintenance or not.
