I feel better about gazelle because of inspection before listing but I don't get to see the phone ...it's only stock photos. but then on swappa I thought we found a good seller with good reviews..like 5,000...but when I read the reviews there were tons of negatives. ugh

I have had good experiences with both. I would tend to trust gazelle a little more because at least you get a 30 day return policy. I got a 6 plus from gazelle and it was listed as "fair", I figured "fair" would be OK because I am just going to stick it in a case anyway. I seriously cannot find anything wrong with it. It looks fine to me.

That said, I have bought an iPhone and iPad from swappa and they were also fine, no problems whatsoever. Of course on swappa you are oftentimes buying from an individual. If a problem does occur, you probably have fewer options.

I think either are fine. I bought an IPhone 6 off ebay (not from Gazelle) in October. It was a good deal because I could pay with gift cards (so I saved about 20%). Otherwise I would have used Swappa. At first I wasn't thrilled because the phone was still under a Next agreement and I'd read if the original buyer defaulted the phone could be blacklisted. I contacted the seller (>98% positive reviews, thousands of phones sold) and they assured me it wouldn't happen but if it did they would take care of the situation. That was enough to make me feel okay.
