OK, How on this earth can I have been doing swaps for three years on this board and NOT have anything for Nemo, Stitch and Lion King? What is wrong with me????????

Do you think it would work if I stuck Stitch's head on one of my two million Cinderella bodies?? :scared1: They are both blue!

Back to the cutting board, literally..........

Thanks for listening.

I supose it is all about which swaps you do. I still have a ton of Nemo stuff from when we did a Nemo swap a few years ago. I also have a variety of things from the Lion King. I do not have much stitch stuff though.

LOL!! Sorry to laugh..but I so find this to be an issue sometimes...
I'm done to just a few DHS items... and I'm just now working on my DHS from 2008.... so when I go to do the 2010 trip this fall... I have to start from scratch and create everything on my own!!!!

I feel your pain!!!

lol...I think we have all been there!

I did something really fun with some Stitch pictures...I matted them like normal, then cut bite marks out of the corners and roughed them up with sandpaper. I printed a picture of Stitch with his claws out made it look like he was crawling up the page. It came out really cute! :goodvibes

LOL you need to join an AK swap!!!!!

But yeah I went through that a while ago. That's why I'm in the EPCOT swap, I'm out of stuff.

Thank you all for understanding :goodvibes

I just finished my Disney Studios part of the book and it all went so fast and then today when I started the Animal Kingdom it felt like there was a huge roadblock in the way! And to make it worse ;), everyone does such a nice job on their swap pieces that I can't just throw something together!

I have this problem too. Unfortunately, with the way we do groups, I'm not sure how to get the pieces I need without getting pieces I have a ton of things for. I have been working on Epcot stuff, I find myself in need of things like Voices of Liberty or Off Kilter, but I have generic "Canada" stuff coming out of my ears. Or I want to get pieces for new attractions, without getting duplicates of older stuff. But they are listed in groups together.

I think next year, I want to do a "New and/or Rare attractions" swap. Kind of like when we did the Rare Characters but for the parks.

How about a swap based upon the needs of swappers? We could ask what we need and try to base groups around that? It would be hard for sign ups, but might be worth a try?

It's totally doable.
Kind of like when I did the end of the year swap. We could tweak that to suit our needs, for example.

Group 1
Off Kilter
Hopemax - Tag
BAMB - Title
PN96 - Mats

You could even try to stick with similar colors to keep the pieces consistent. Off kilter would be black, white, and red.

We could call it a short falls or fill in the holes swap.

Basically we'd need to keep a running tally of the things we are all short of, then either PM or post on a thread started by a hostess.
Then we could divvy up the groups from there.

The big issue would be keeping the swap from getting HUGE!! The end of the year swap from a few years ago ended up being a Major Mega swap.

Hope, I do like the idea of new and rare rides, shows, etc. There is a lot of new stuff at WDW and DL coming up the line so we need to transition. Like I've just wrapped up my MGM years, and now moving on to Hollywood Studios (although I will forever call it MGM) but in my books I want to keep it consistent.

I always need things for the entertainment- like the music groups and such for all over Disney because we go so often- I end up seeing them all even the more obscure ones but I know at least the ones at AK I couldn't get anyone else to sign up for them with me a few years ago when I ran that swap. But we did do a shows swap a few years ago with mini page kits and within something like that it would be easy to put in groups with the more obscure groups. I remember when TSM was getting ready to open one of the groups in the MGM/DHS swap that year was for the 4 new attractions.

Just an idea for Off Kilter...make paper dolls of the guys. To cut the kilts, use a skirt cut and to get the right tartan just google celtic tratans. Then title the image of the fabric together on a 8.5x11 and print it out. :goodvibes

I really like that idea! I always find that I'm out of DHS stuff! Also, I never have anything Lion King or Mike & Sully or Cars!

Reddy, your layouts are gorgeous, and your boys are all very handsome.:)

Thank you - Those are for the 2010 trip -- I haven't done Stitch for my next trip yet
I'm not what to do with the Monster Inc LO - boys don't watch shows very well

Reddy love your layouts :)

I think a new and rare or year end swap is a great idea :thumbsup2 Of course at this point I have swap stuff coming out of my ears (and all my storage cabinets!!!!!) I need to learn to "just say no" except for DHS and AK, I haven't swapped for those parks yet ;)

Hey--you guys need to join my pass it forward swap to unload some of your duplicates. If you have certain requests for things you need I can certainly be looking for that and allocate those items to you. I believe it's scheduled for August sign ups.

Good idea...but just so you know... I'm not hosting! LOL

I have too much on my plate... I'll do my hosting of the paper doll swap in July if there is still interest and the DHS swap in October.....but too much going on here in the next year.....

Ooooh, sounds cute! Can you post a picture? I'm getting the mat but not sure which clip art you used for Stitch. Thanks!

And all you ladies are awesome! I thought the problem was me not signing up right for swaps and you have convinced me it is the Swaps fault! :rotfl2:
