Swap Monster?

Well, I'm going back in for the third time -- first time I dc while in mid trade, second time I was next in line to trade, and Phinney said she had to go get more pins -- argh!!! Oh, and some dude comes up and cuts the line to stand right by me and starts asking Phinney questions about his friend? They wait in a 30 minute long line to ask host a question not related to the swap? So my guess is Phinney got her pin supply and was starting to talk to the dude, and then I dc again!!

My time-out time was exactly 36 minutes on my first two tries.

Patience is wearing thin!

Well I made it through 148 people, was third in line and boom I got dc'd

I found someone in VMK who traded it with me. I would rather trade with this person then wait another hour .

I crashed while in trade with Phinny, then one of my mules crashed with about 10 people in front of her. I swear, if VMK wants to post the schedules of these events, they need to open more rooms or find a way to keep us from crashing every 30 minutes. It is really getting annoying.

Ok so did anyone ever find out if you have something worth 1000 will they trade you two pins? I've got a friend I want to get one for (her comp can't handle these events either) and I wanted to grab one for her. But I don't want to muck up the line again after I get one.

I was successful by sheer determination on my part. I crash in line events,
as my signature can attest.

So today, around 10 minutes before the event started, I did a room search
for "Swap Monster" and clicked the search button until the room appeared.

I was second in line to trade!

But later, in a wait of 92 people, I crashed while in the room, last to enter
rope barrier. So I will definitely crash if I don't immediately try to get
into a room at opening.

I was so tired of disconnecting that I'm glad I found a way to get at least
one shot at it.

I've never managed to get into Doorway to Fortunes or Spin to Win games
this way, but I did get the chair race that way.

Do you think if by some miracle I got through the line without dc they would trade me 2 pins for a 1000-credit Monsters pin, or do they only trade you one pin?

I was trying ask fin that when I was in there. Instead I was, well not really attacked, but told very agressively that I should not be greedy and just trade for one pin. I told them I wanted to get another one for a friend, (as I wanted to grab one as I'm sure someone on here would love a pin but can't get through the line) they told me didn't matter and that my friend should wait through the line like everyone else.

Which is a good point. All the same fin was trading when I tried to ask my question, so I never got it answered. I did manage to trade. But I looked at my DC time, and I was getting close. So I just wanted to trade and get out instead of trying to ask to get another one. Sure enough I DC right after I got out of the room.

I'd try to get through again, but there is only about 15 minutes left, and I don't think I'd be able to get through that line again in that amount of time

Miss Galinda I was right behind you. I asked Phinny if she would trade two for two and she said only 1 because she needed to keep the line moving. So I got one. Now I am in line with my two boys and one is in the 60's and one is in the 90's.

Hey Briar - That is my secret too - LOL!

Got in the short line pretty quickly, but still disconnected the minute I stepped foot into the room. ARG

I was able to get through eventually though, after many attempts. That 35 minute dc time is very accurate, I must say... And I dc'd right AFTER I traded - whew!

The ONE time I do not do the staff event and they are trading away the GRAND FLORIDIAN PIN!!!! OMG!!!! That is the one pin I want over any other in VMK!!!!! The Grand Floridian is my absolute FAVORITE resort in WDW, and I want that pin so bad! We stay at the GF everytime we go down.

I could beat my head into the wall right now!!!!!

Can someone please get rid my feeling of regret and tell me they were NOT giving out the GF pin????

If was not the Grand Floridian Pin, it was the Grand CALIFORNIAN Pin. Rest easy now.
