Strolling around the World...Maclaren Double Stroller Swap...


I think we need to end this swap...
It appears the stroller may be getting unsafe.
I don't want anyone to get hurt.
And it's not fair if people go down expecting a great stroller and get a broken one.
Unfortunately, the new rules of DIS will not allow us to replace the stroller.
So I'm making the decision to shut down the swap.

These are the items that are included with the swap. The stroller is red as pictured below.

Stroller will be at your resort waiting for you when you arrive. You will have to transport the stroller to the next swappers hotel prior to leaving.
Families staying off site are welcome with the understanding that you are responsible for picking up and dropping off the stroller at the correct disney resort.

Arrival Procedure:
1. Go to luggage services and tell them you have an item to pick up. The stroller will be in a bag so if you tell them "stroller" it may get overlooked.
2. Give them your name and you will receive your stroller. If there is any problems, first off, contact the swapper who used it last via phone. Also PM me and I will help.
3. Have a GREAT time!

Departure Procedure:
1. Make sure to leave the stroller in a condition that you would want to receive it in. Wipe it down with wipes, etc.
2. Place all items in stroller bag: stroller, sunshade, and stroller organizer.
3. Label the stroller with the next swappers name, phone number and check in date.
4. Transport stroller to next swappers resort and leave it at luggage services. Please get a claim number so that if the stroller is misplaced, it's easier to track it down. Hold onto the claim number past the date of arrival for the next swapper just in case.

***This Stroller Swap will last as long as the stroller holds up.***
If we decide the stroller is no longer usable it will end without advanced notice.
So just remember when you sign up there is always a chance the stroller won't make it to you.
If you have the stroller and there is a problem please notify us as soon as possible so we can let others know.

It is not hard, but you have to kick up the locks before it will fold...

I am here now and thought I would give an update. I picked up the stroller from the previous swapper (and her incredibly adorable and very well manered daughter). I will take pics and post them when we get back. The stroller is in decent condition. Not pristine, but not bad either. The color is a bit faded. I can't figure out how to get the seat cover things to stay up. I chalk it up to not owning this brand of stroller. It is a bit difficult to fold, but again it might be my inexperience. I brought my joovy caboose last year and it is about the same to push esp with both kids in it. The back left wheel is a bit wonky. It rolls funny but doesn't hurt anything. If the stroller is taken care of, it should last a good bit longer.

Not really sure how this works so here it goes. I saw that you had dates open that we will be at WDW with our 2 grandkids (3yr and 5yr). Would like to do the swap for 11-29 to 12-4 as I was thinking about needing a stroller. Do not have enough posts to PM you yet. We will be staying at POP.

Looks like other swaps are having their strollers go missing at bell services.

And just wanted to check - are we keeping with the rules of the other swaps in terms of dropping it off for the next person and exchanging contact info?

I've just started planning our first trip to Disney with a 2 & 4 year old. I have spent way too many hours figuring out dining! Now I've ventured to reading posts not only related to making ADRs. I've also learned lots of acronyms

I'm not exactly sure how this works, but we will be at the CBR Dec 5 - 12. Can we join the swap?
